Le Brayon : nom de la revue de la Société historique de Madawasca, sélectionné par concours dans le vol. 1, no. 2, printemps 1972, citons :«D'où vient ce mot? À l'origine du Madawasca, les pionniers pratiquaient la culture du lin dans les «platins» de St Basile. Le broyage du lin se faisait au moyen d’un instrument appelé «braie» et d’un peigne à filasse que l'on trouve dans le Musée historique de St Basile.
