CAGE MOLECULAIRE [3 records]

English

Subject field(s)
  • Chemistry
  • Atomic Physics
CONT

Molecular cages ... are hollow nano-sized ... compounds that consist of organic molecules or ions and, in most cases, metal ions. They share many structural features with, for example, viruses whose shells (capsids) are composed of organized proteins. One of the most significant feature of molecular cages is their ability to bind and release guest molecules depending on the prevailing conditions. Hence, some of their most important potential applications include biomedicinal uses (transport of drugs), storing of unstable and/or reactive molecules and recovery of hazardous compounds from aquatic environments.

Domaine(s)
  • Chimie
  • Physique atomique
DEF

Subject field(s)

OBS

Alkali Anions. Preparation and Crystal Structure of a compound Which Contains the Cryptated Sodium Cation and the Sodium Anion. ... When a saturated solution of sodium metal in ethylamine in the presence of a cation-complexing bicyclic diamino ether ("crypt") is cooled, crystals of [a stoichiometric sodium compound] form as thin hexagonal plates. ... One of the sodium species is trapped in "crypt" and the other is outside.

Domaine(s)
  • Chimie
DEF

Retenir sélectivement des ions alcalins et alcalino-terreux.

CONT

Subject field(s)
  • Mechanics
  • Mechanical Components

OBS

The wear particles which originate from the bearing components were measured as follows. An analysis of the constituent elements of the alloys was made using X-ray fluorescence or atomic absorption spectrophotometry techniques.

OBS
