Chemical looping combustion (CLC) is a novel method for facilitating CO2 separation from flue gases. The process is composed of two fluidized reactors, an air and a fuel reactor, as shown in Figure 1.2. The fuel is introduced to the fuel reactor in a gaseous form where it reacts with an oxygen carrier to CO2 and H2O. The reduced oxygen carrier is transported to the air reactor, where it is oxidized back to its original state by air. As for the oxy-fuel combustion process, Nox formation is eliminated as oxygen is supplied to the combustor in the form of a metal oxide without any nitrogen present, also giving pure co2 out. The principle of the CLC process is the same as for the oxy-fuel process, where pure oxygen is supplied to the combustor, and it has the same absorption-regeneration nature of post-combustion. 4, record 14, English, - Ca%2Dbased%20looping%20cycle

3, record 15, French, - nano%2Dnez

smoke: A phenomenon made up of observable fumes containing gases, solids and liquids. There are several kinds of smoke, the color of which depends on the combustion process causing the smoke. Thus, a coal fire will emit black smoke. A turbine ship whose nozzle might need slight adjustment emits brown smoke. A steel mill emits red smoke. A nitric or sulfuric acid plant might emit yellow smoke. And so it goes. But white smoke is usually not smoke at all, it's steam. 3, record 25, English, - black%20smoke

Several [internal cooling] systems have been developed that incorporate three basic approaches: liquified gas, super-cold air with water vapor, and air exchange methods. With the liquified gas system, immediately after the parison has been expanded, liquid carbon dioxide or nitrogen is atomized through a nozzle in the blow pin into the interior of the bottle. The liquid quickly vaporizes, removing heat, and exhausts at the end of the cycle. In practice, this method has improved production rates by 25 to 35%. A disadvantage is the cost of the liquified gas. If its consumption is not precisely controlled, the total cost savings becomes minimal. 1, record 38, English, - liquified%20gas%20system

2, record 38, French, - balayage

Halide detectors are propane burners with a copper grid or ring in the flame. Air is drawn into the flame through a hose that can be directed to various areas under fumigation. If halide vapour, such as carbon tetrachloride or methyl bromide, contacts the hot copper ring, it reacts to form a blue-coloured copper halide. The intensity of this blue colour indicates the amount of gas present. This is a fairly sensitive method that registers the presence of a halide gas but does not indicate phosphine gas. 1, record 39, English, - halide%20detector

1, record 39, French, - halog%C3%A9nom%C3%A8tre

High-pressure oxygen from a gas cylinder passes through a high-pressure reducing valve and, in some designs, through a low-pressure admission valve to a breathing bag or container. Liquid oxygen is converted to low-pressure gaseous oxygen and delivered to the breathing bag. The wearer inhales from the bag, through a corrugated tube connected to a mouthpiece or facepiece and a one-way check valve. Exhaled air passes through another check valve and tube into a container of carbon-dioxide removing chemical and reenters the breathing bag. Several [internal cooling] systems have been developed that incorporate three basic approaches: liquified gas, super-cold air with water vapor, and air exchange methods. ... The super-cold air system with water vapor works much the same way [as the liquified gas system]. Here, very dry, subzero blowing air expands the parison. The expanded air is allowed to circulate through the bottle and exhaust. Immediately after the parison has expanded, a fine mist of water is injected into the cold air stream. As it flows, the water mist turns into snow. As the snow circulates through the container, it melts and then vaporizes. At the end of the molding cycle, the water mist is stopped, permitting the circulating air to purge and dry the interior before the mold is opened and the part is removed. Production rates can be improved as much as 50%. 1, record 48, English, - super%2Dcold%20air%20system%20with%20water%20vapor

[...] 1, record 48, French, - proc%C3%A9d%C3%A9%20ISC

Normally, a blow-molded part is cooled externally by the mold cavity, forcing heat to travel through the entire wall thickness. With the poor thermal conductivity of plastic resins, molding cycle times of heavy parts can be considerable. Internal cooling systems are designed to speed the mold cooling time, thus reducing costs by removing some of this heat from the inside. 2, record 51, French, - postcombustion

Neige dont le pH est égal ou supérieur à 5,6. 2, record 63, French, - neige%20normale
Record number: 63, Textual support number: 1 CONT
3, record 63, French, - neige%20normale
Record number: 63, Textual support number: 1 OBS
Record number: 63, Textual support number: 2 OBS
Record number: 63, Textual support number: 3 OBS
4, record 63, French, - neige%20normale
