2, record 3, French, - population%20synth%C3%A9tique

A mesocyclone is a vortex of air, approximately 2 to 10 miles in diameter, within a convective storm. In a mesocyclone, air rises and rotates around a vertical axis, usually in the same direction as low pressure systems. They are most often associated with a localised low-pressure region within a severe thunderstorm. Such storms can feature strong surface winds and severe hail. Mesocyclones often occur together with updrafts in supercells, where tornadoes may form. Mesocyclones are believed to form when strong changes of wind speed and/or direction with height ("wind shear") sets parts of the lower atmosphere spinning in invisible tube-like rolls. The convective updraft of a thunderstorm is then thought to draw up this spinning air, tilting the rolls' orientation upward (from parallel to the ground to perpendicular) and causing the entire updraft to rotate as a vertical column. 2, record 14, English, - mesocyclone

Diabetic macular ischemia (DMI) is a common problem for patients with diabetic retinopathy that can lead to sight loss. ... DMI is linked to damage in the vessels that supply blood to the retina—specifically in layers known as the superficial vascular complex, deep vascular complex and choriocapillaris ... These layers supply oxygen to the macula, which is the central part of the retina responsible for sharp, high-quality vision ... Reduced retinal blood flow and vessel density have been associated with photoreceptor disruption and subsequent vision loss ... In addition, DMI is characterised by the enlargement of the foveal avascular zone (FAZ), which in turn is linked to vision loss ... 1, record 20, English, - diabetic%20macular%20ischemia

1, record 22, French, - surdrainage

Necessity and proportionality have always been core principles of both branches of the jus belli principles that apply to both the authority to employ military force and the regulation of actual employment. However, in the jus ad bellum context, they have never before been viewed as principles to regulate operational and tactical execution. Instead, in that context they frame the legality of national or multinational resort to military force in self-defense. Once the decision is made to employ force pursuant to this authority, the jus in bello variant of these principles (necessity of the mission and proportionality of collateral damage) operate to regulate the application of combat power during mission execution (in other words, they provide the foundation for the regulation of the application of combat power in the context of the self-defense-justified mission). 5, record 35, English, - international%20humanitarian%20law

2, record 63, French, - circulation%20estuarienne

In the case of allogeneic transplants, identifying a potential donor who can give their stem cells to another person involves analyzing the human leukocyte antigens (HLA), which are proteins found on the surface of the blood and in tissue cells. The HLA must be as closely matched as possible so that the transplant recipient's body can "accept" the new stem cells into their bone marrow. Just as important, matching at HLA will decrease the chance of the new marrow reacting against the patient, a reaction called graft versus host disease. 4, record 66, English, - human%20leukocyte%20antigen
