Ecological regimes in a long-term perspective. Regimes did not only come into being to address interpersonal problems, but also to counter problems inherent in our relationship with the surrounding natural environment. ... In this section, I ... seek to show how that the concept of regime can successfully be used within the context of all of human history. In the first and longest stage of human development, people lived as gatherers and hunters. Their ecological regime, the ways they addressed ecological problems, was very much determined by the opportunities and limitations offered by the surrounding natural environment, by human nature, as well as by their skills. 3, record 6, English, - ecological%20regime

2, record 6, French, - r%C3%A9gime%20%C3%A9cologique
