Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat. A project sponsored jointly by the Public Sector Service Delivery Council and the Public Sector Chief Information Officers' Council. eContact is a multi-jurisdictional solution that will improve access to government services by connecting citizens and service agents to accurate information through a user-friendly interface. It is designed to connect citizens with the information or service they require by quickly identifying their needs and directing them to the appropriate contact. The fundamental benefits of eContact are improved service and higher citizen satisfaction. The eContact approach is different because it is a solution that integrates information across jurisdictions and uses natural language querying to address the terminology gap between governments and citizens. Un service amélioré et une plus grande satisfaction des clients constituent les avantages fondamentaux de eContact. Il s’agit d’une approche différente, parce que c'est une solution qui regroupe les renseignements de tous les paliers de gouvernement et qui utilise l'interrogation en langage naturel pour combler l'écart terminologique entre les gouvernements et les citoyens.
