1, record 1, French, - %C3%A9l%C3%A9vation%20de%20la%20jambe%20tendue%20controlat%C3%A9rale

Record 2, Textual support, English
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 DEF
A test done during [a] physical examination to determine whether a patient with low back pain has an underlying herniated disk, often located at L5 (fifth lumbar spinal nerve). 11, record 2, English, - straight%2Dleg%20raise%20test
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 CONT
When performing the straight leg raise test the patient is positioned supine in the absence of pillows. The clinician lifts the patient's symptomatic leg by the posterior ankle while keeping the knee in a fully extended position. The clinician continues to lift the patient's leg by flexing at the hip until pain is illicited or end range is reached. Neurologic pain which is reproduced in the leg and low back between 30-70 degrees of hip flexion is a positive result of lumbar disc herniation at the L4-S1 nerve roots. In order to make this test more specific, the ankle can be dorsiflexed and the cervical spine flexed. This increases the stretching of the nerve root and dura. 2, record 2, English, - straight%2Dleg%20raise%20test

The herniated disc may extend above and below the disc level. The appearance of a radiolucent stripe in an intervertebral disk, [which is] a manifestation of disk degeneration. 1, record 4, English, - vacuum%20disk%20phenomenon
Record number: 4, Textual support number: 1 CONT
The vacuum disc phenomenon was ... described as the presence of "air" in the intervertebral soft tissues of the spine. It is related to advanced arthrosis of the intervertebral disc. In the early stages of disc degeneration, the nucleus pulposus begins to desiccate, which results in fissuring of the fibrocartilage. These fissures can develop into spaces or clefts that fill with gas from the surrounding tissues. Gas obtained by aspiration directly from a vacuum disc was found to consist of 92 per cent nitrogen. 2, record 4, English, - vacuum%20disk%20phenomenon
Record number: 4, Textual support number: 1 OBS

1, record 4, French, - ph%C3%A9nom%C3%A8ne%20du%20gaz%20intra%2Ddiscal
