Unlike soluble fibre, insoluble fibre does not dissolve in water. The main types of insoluble fibre include cellulose (primary material of plant cell walls), many hemicelluloses (cereal fibres), and lignins (non-polysaccharide). This is the best type of fibre for constipation, as it helps draw water into the stool to soften it and can help speed up transit time. It also increases fecal weight, which improves bowel movement consistency, and delays glucose absorption. 3, record 1, English, - insoluble%20fibre

The camel pose is a great exercise for posture and flexibility. This position stretches the entire front of the body-the ankles, thighs, groins, chest and throat. The camel pose also makes hips more flexible, reducing the risk of hip injury that comes later in life. This pose can improve posture as a result of strengthening the area around the spine. With regular practice of this position, you can eventually develop a long and lean frame. 5, record 6, English, - camel%20pose

In the large bowel, fibre is partly digested by bacterial fermentation producing special fatty acids, which are essential for a healthy bowel. Fibre provides bulk and can also hold extra water. This action helps prevent constipation, haemorrhoids and diverticular disease and may be protective against bowel cancer. A high fibre diet is also associated with a lower risk of heart disease. Foods high in fibre are digested more slowly and this slows the rise in blood glucose after eating, which is useful for people with diabetes. 5, record 8, English, - high%20fibre%20diet

Lactation Rations. -- Give sows more water or skim milk than usual for a few days before farrowing, and dilute the gestation ration with about 1/4 to 1/3 bran. These practices reduce constipation and udder congestion. You may withdraw bran gradually during 3 or 4 days after farrowing; otherwise the gestation ration is suitable throughout lactation. The main difference in nutritional requirements is an increase in total feed. Even if feed intakes are doubled it is usually impossible to avoid deficiencies of protein, minerals and vitamins. These may adversely affect the yield or quality of the milk or the health of the sow. 1, record 18, English, - lactation%20ration

The gradual debranning of wheat bran was possible because wheat bran is composed of about eight layers and the physical binding force between these layers is loosened upon absorption of moisture. When different mechanical actions, such as friction and abrasion, are applied to tempered wheat, the "bran" can be sequentially removed (Dexter and Wood, 1996). The fractions, by-products of the debranning process, are rich in dietary fibre (Wood and Mullin, 1996) and may have great potential as functional food ingredients. Wheat bran may reduce the risk of colon cancer and alleviates constipation. [Source: ethanol project - Lkstarwk.en p. 1]. 1, record 19, English, - debranning
Record number: 19, Textual support number: 2 OBS
Debranning of wheat provides a starch enriched feedstock for ethanol production. The economics of this process will be greatly improved by utilization of the co-produced bran fractions. These products are novel; although previously commercially available combined in the form of conventional wheat bran, the separated fractions have not been available. The physicochemical and physiological properties of these fractions are not known, but they have significant potential for impact in the growing health food or functional food markets.
