2, record 26, French, - p%C3%A9tanque

The game of horseball is played in a normal riding area with elevated goals at opposing ends. Two teams of four players attempt to score by shooting the ball into the opponent's goal. A brilliant element of the game of horseball is that each team must make at least three passes between three different members before it is qualified to score. Therefore all team members must collaborate for each event of offense and defense, which is why the game is referred to as “collective” or “inclusive” amongst all of its players. No player is ever much removed from the action. Because of the goals, the mandatory passing game, and the quick pace of action, horseball is often compared to basketball. 3, record 42, English, - horseball

4, record 49, French, - Centrale%20des%20syndicats%20d%C3%A9mocratiques

In 1955, Barnes and Loutit first described graft versus host disease (GVHD) in mice. Simonsen introduced the term graft-versus-host reaction in 1958 to describe the direction of the immunological damage caused by introduction of immunologically competent cells into an immunocompromised host. In 1966, Billingham proposed 3 conditions required for the development of GVHD, as follows: (1) the graft must contain immunologically competent cells, (2) the host must possess important transplant alloantigens that are lacking in the donor graft so that the host appears foreign to the graft, and (3) the host itself must be incapable of mounting an effective immunological reaction against the graft. According to the accepted definition, the immunologic assault itself and its consequences are referred to as GVHD. 3, record 53, English, - graft%20versus%20host%20disease

There are several different types of photoelectric cells. In some [i.e., phototubes] there is a light-sensitive surface [a photocathode] which emits electrons and a second electrode, usually maintained at a fairly high positive potential, which collects the electrons ... A second type is the photovoltaic or barrier layer photocell in which incident light produces an emf between two terminals ... Solar cells, widely used to provide energy for satellites and space vehicles, are photovoltaic cells converting radiant energy into electrical energy. A familiar form uses a very perfect silicon crystal which is treated with trace impurities to introduce extra positive charges on one side of a thin wafer and extra negative charges on the other side ... Radiant energy disturbs the electrical balance of the charges and thereby induces an emf which continues as long as light strikes the crystal ... A third type of photoelectric cell [photoconductive, or photoresistive cell] utilizes the photoconductivity effect. 6, record 54, English, - photoelectric%20receptor

3, record 58, French, - cavaletti

This allows determination of both the linear accelerations and the rotational acceleration of the FCE, and allows for up to three levels of redundancy. There are four Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) mounted on the FCE with collimated beams directed at four two dimensional Position Sensing Devices (PSDs) mounted on the ISPR.

The ball is grabbed by the center as it rebounds off the backboard, and he passes it to one of his guards or forwards as quickly as possible. The idea is to give the opposition little or no time to regroup and set its defense. As a result, the fast-breaking team may have as many as three or four players going against two defenders. 1, record 78, French, - troc%20comptant

A carbocation (real or hypothetical) in which there are two (or more) carbon atoms that could in alternative Lewis formulae be designated as carbenium centres but which is instead represented by a structure in which a group (a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon residue, possibly with substituents in non-involved positions) bridges these potential carbenium centres.
