Premature ventricular contraction (PVC) is an ectopic cardiac pacemaker located in the ventricle. PVCs are characterized by the premature occurrence of bizarre-shaped QRS complexes, with the electrocardiographic wave (QRS) width usually greater than 120 msec. These complexes are not preceded by a P wave, and the T wave is usually large and opposite in direction to the major deflection of the QRS. 7, record 4, English, - premature%20ventricular%20contraction

1, record 5, French, - complexe%20QRS

The signal-averaged ECG is a noninvasive technique that records, amplifies, and filters the surface ECG and detects low-amplitude, high-frequency signals (late potentials) at the terminal portion of the QRS complex. These late potentials represent delayed myocardial activation in areas of scar tissue and may serve as the electrophysiologic substrate for ventricular arrhythmias. 1, record 7, English, - late%20potential

Record number: 7, Textual support number: 1 CONT
1, record 7, French, - potentiel%20tardif
