CONT

Un produit radiopharmaceutique est caractérisé par ses propriétés chimiques et physico-chimiques ainsi que par les propriétés du rayonnement du radionuclide. Un tel produit comporte donc deux composantes fonctionnelles, l'une étant radioactive et l'autre ne l'étant pas. La composante radioactive permet la détection du produit dans le cadre du diagnostic et elle constitue l'agent actif en cas d’utilisation thérapeutique. Elle est constituée par un radionuclide aux propriétés physiques appropriées. La composante non radioactive est constituée par une molécule ou un traceur biologique aux propriétés pharmacocinétiques appropriées s’accumulant dans l'organe cible. Elle détermine le comportement biologique du produit radiopharmaceutique dans l'organisme, et donc sa spécificité organique et son métabolisme. Elle a pour fonction d’amener le radionuclide à l'endroit approprié de l'organisme et d’assurer l'absorption de la radioactivité par l'organe cible.

An overt diagnostic action, whereby the system can test its hypotheses. Distinct from interactive diagnosis, whereby the student is invited to report (self-report) on his decisions and knowledge.

CONT

Active diagnosis has the advantage of being one type of extension to diagnostic communication channels that does not require additional interpretive machinery in the form of extended models.

OBS

Applies to systems that are able to take overt diagnostic actions when they have determined that further data is required for discriminating between the competing models that remain.
