Dry age-related macular degeneration. This form is quite common. About 80 percent ... of people who have AMD [age-related macular degeneration] have the dry form. Dry AMD is when parts of the macula get thinner with age and tiny clumps of protein called drusen grow. People with dry AMD may have drusen, pigment abnormalities, or geographic atrophy (an area of cell loss in the retina). You slowly lose central vision. 10, record 1, English, - dry%20age%2Drelated%20macular%20degeneration

5, record 1, French, - d%C3%A9g%C3%A9n%C3%A9rescence%20maculaire%20s%C3%A8che%20li%C3%A9e%20%C3%A0%20l%26rsquo%3B%C3%A2ge

Wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD) develops when abnormal blood vessels grow into the macula. These leak blood or fluid which leads to scarring of the macula and rapid loss of central vision. 10, record 2, English, - wet%20age%2Drelated%20macular%20degeneration
