2, record 2, French, - rotor%20en%20roue%20libre

"Feathering" a propeller means rotating the propeller blades about 90 degrees so each blade is streamlined with the wind, which gives minimum drag. 2, record 3, English, - feather%20the%20propeller
Record number: 3, Textual support number: 2 OBS
A feathering propeller can alter the pitch of the blades up to almost 90 degrees. That is, the blade pitch is changed so that they have their leading edge pointing right into the direction of flight, offering minimum resistance to the airflow. This mode allows the propeller rotation to be stopped, without adding excessive drag to the aircraft. Feather may be used to improve the performance of the aircraft after the failure of an engine, but more usually in light aircraft it is used in motor glider applications. 3, record 3, English, - feather%20the%20propeller

2, record 3, French, - mettre%20l%26rsquo%3Bh%C3%A9lice%20en%20drapeau

Pitch Regulation. Once the rated wind speed has been reached, a WT [wind turbine] will be unable to make use of all the wind energy incident on the rotor plane and must shed some. A pitch-regulated WT will do this [namely] by pitching the blades to reduce the angle of attack and thus the torque and power captured (in pitch-to-feather machines) ... 4, record 4, English, - pitch%2Dto%2Dfeather%20machine
