Record number: 13, Textual support number: 2 OBS
2, record 13, French, - penthouse
Record number: 13, Textual support number: 3 OBS

1, record 25, French, - acide%20nucl%C3%A9ique%20peptidique

Free-Space Optics (also known as FSO, Wireless Optics or Optical Wireless) is an optical data, voice and video transmission system. Like fiber optic cable, wireless optics communication systems use laser light to transmit a digital signal between two transceivers. However, unlike fiber, the laser like is transtmited through the air (free-space) instead of through a glass strand. In order for the digital signal to be transmitted and received, there must be clear line of site between each wireless optics unit. In other words, there should be no obstructions such as trees or buildings between the transceiver units. 1, record 40, English, - free%2Dspace%20optics
Record number: 40, Textual support number: 2 CONT
The technology is useful where the physical connection of the transmit and receive locations is difficult, for example in cities where the laying of fibre optic cables is expensive. Free Space Optics is also used to communicate between space-craft, since outside of the atmosphere there is little to distort the signal. The optical links usually use infrared laser light, although low-data-rate communication over short distances is possible using LEDs [Light Emitting Diode]. IrDA [Infrared Data Association] is a very simple form of free-space optical communications. Distances up to the order of 10 km are possible, but the distance and data rate of connection is highly dependent on atmospheric conditions. 7, record 40, English, - free%2Dspace%20optics

Phillips has released an AFDX (Avionics Full Duplex Switched Ethernet) PCI Mezzanine (PMC) card for avionics simulation and test. AFDX is an advanced protocol standard to interconnect avionics subsystems. Its first major use will be in the Airbus A3XX. The PMC694/AFDX module is among the first products on the market, supporting this new avionics bus. It is designed for applications like end system simulation, test systems and prototyping of avionics components. The greatest benefit from this implementation can be gained when used in the Phillips ADS-3000 V2 environment. The standard is based on widely approved and adopted standards like ethernet (IEEE 802.3) and IP/UDP (Internet Protocols). Modifications to these standards have been made to cope with the need for deterministic response times and limited jitter. 4, record 63, English, - Avionics%20Full%20Duplex%20Switched%20Ethernet

Concentrateur Duplex(GEC-Alsthom). [...] 1, record 71, French, - concentrateur%20Duplex

After hydrolysis of the template RNA, the cDNA is detected by a sandwich hybridization assay (Enzyme-Linked Oligonucleotide Sorbent Assay, or ELOSA). The sandwich consists of a biotinylated capture probe, the cDNA, and an HRP-conjugated detector probe. The sandwich is bound via the biotin to a streptavidin-coated microplate well, and is detected by adding a substrate for HRP. ;type sinlex [...]; type duplex [...] 5, record 88, French, - filtre%20%C3%A0%20tamis%20de%20type%20Y

Sheeters are available in simplex and duplex configurations. In the duplex unit, the slit web is separated and each strip runs to a set of independently operated knives. After being cut, the sheets are conveyed on a moving belt to layboys, where the stacks are jogged into uniform piles. All layboys are equipped with counters so that a marker can be inserted after each accumulation of a specified number of sheets. On some modern layboys, the marker is inserted automatically. A more detailed sketch of a complete simplex sheeter with manual inspection station is shown in Figure 23-3. 1, record 95, English, - duplex%20sheeter
