Le frittage laser s’apparente à la stéréolithographie classique : un faisceau laser contrôlé par une commande crée le modèle, couche par couche, à partir d’un fichier de données CAO [conception assistée par ordinateur]. Mais le laser-infrarouge CO2 ou YAG, et non plus ultraviolet-n’ opère pas par durcissement de résine, mais par frittage d’un matériau pulvérulent.
