Collectively, temperature, water availability, atmospheric gases, aeration of the soil, mineral nutrients, etc. modulate all the gene activities. The time the genotype uses (needs) to develop to harvest maturity is strongly modulated by both temperature and daylength. The primary aims for human-rated launchers are to carry the astronauts safely to their destination, and back again to Earth. ... These are quite different requirements from those for an unmanned spacecraft launch system. Except in a very few cases, for these there is no need to bring the spacecraft back to Earth, and the consequences of an accident, while expensive, are not tragic. Historically the requirements for human rating were not specific. Basically, a human-rated launcher had to be demonstrated to be reliable, usually by several unmanned flights, during which all the systems on which the survival of the crew depended were tested, and found to work successfully. 3, record 4, English, - human%2Drated

Purchase. From time to time refiners purchase product from others and pay for it like any other buyer, without any reciprocal supply conditions, although in the case of refiners these one-way agreements tend to be of short duration and for relatively small volumes to meet a temporary imbalance between their supplies and their supply commitments. As discussed further below, a more enduring or significant imbalance would tend to be addressed by a refiner through a reciprocal supply arrangement that benefitted the utilization rate of one of its refineries somewhere in the country and provided an additional measure of price and supply security. 1, record 29, English, - reciprocal%20supply%20arrangement

L'achat. 1, record 29, French, - accord%20d%26rsquo%3Bapprovisionnement%20r%C3%A9ciproque

white slave trade; white slave traffic; white slavery: Initially, [white slave trade] referred to trafficking of European and American women for prostitution in western European countries and the USA, and from these countries to the colonies. The Abolitionists, who fought prostitution in Europe and the USA, campaigned against international trafficking; in 1904, thirteen states attended a meeting in Paris, and this resulted in an international agreement against white slavery. In 1949, this agreement was superseded by the United Nations Convention for the Suppression of the Traffic in Persons and of the Exploitation of the Prostitution of Others. 4, record 54, English, - trafficking%20in%20women%20for%20sexual%20exploitation

4, record 54, Spanish, - trata%20de%20mujeres%20con%20fines%20de%20explotaci%C3%B3n%20sexual

What is a concurrent sentence? Concurrent sentences are sentences imposed for separate offences which run at the same time. A concurrent sentence begins from the date it is imposed. Where concurrent sentences are imposed at the same time, the total time served by the offender for all the offences is the same as the longest individual sentence imposed. For example, when a court hands down on the same day concurrent sentences of 3 and 5 years, the total time to be served is 5 years. Concurrent sentences include sentences with clear direction from the court that the sentence is to be served "concurrently" and when no direction is given by the court, i.e., sentence is "silent." 2, record 78, English, - concurrent%20sentence
Record number: 78, Textual support number: 2 CONT
Example of an original single sentence merged with a concurrent sentence: Suppose that an offender is subject to a 3 year sentence which began on March 1, 2012. Two years later (March 1, 2014) they receive a 3 year sentence to be served concurrently with the first. The two sentences are combined to form a total sentence of 5 years which begins on March 1, 2012 (the start date of the first of the sentences to be served), and ends on February 28, 2017 (the expiration date of the last of the sentences to be served). In this case, the sentences run at the same time. 2, record 78, English, - concurrent%20sentence

3, record 82, French, - frein%20%C3%A0%20hyst%C3%A9r%C3%A9sis

Debonding between layers that are initially stuck together is an important potential distress mode in multilayered structures. The risk may be the bond between the support and the long-life pavement surface layers ... or between the binder course and the wearing course in the case of a two-layer composite surface course. The main cause of debonding is traffic, which can induce debonding ... Variations of temperature with depth and time and intrusion of water (or water condensation) between layers can exacerbate the mechanism. 2, record 100, English, - debonding

2, record 100, French, - d%C3%A9collement%20d%26rsquo%3Binterface
