As Canada’s contribution to the field of aviation and aerospace continues to grow, the Canada Aviation Museum will be growing along with it, by including the representation of human space flight in its mandate and collection. This initiative is the result of a dynamic partnership between the Canadian Space Agency and the Canada Science and Technology Museums Corporation. To better reflect the changes in its mandate, the Museum has changed its name to the Canada Aviation and Space Museum. These changes will herald a new direction for the Museum in the development, interpretation, and presentation of its expanded collection. 1, record 5, English, - Canada%20Aviation%20and%20Space%20Museum

Images of phase differences between two SAR images acquired from two repeated SAR coverages are called repeat-pass interferograms. The technique used with these data to generate digital elevation models (DEMs), deformation maps, and temporal change maps is called repeat-pass interferometry and was first demonstrated by Zebker and Goldstein at JPL. In this workshop, an introduction to interferometry will be given with the goal of giving the participants a basic understanding of the technique and the tools required to obtain good results. This will be followed by an overview of some of the recent results obtained by scientists working with RADARSAT, ERS-1/2, and JERS-1 SAR data sets. Finally, a summary of emerging applications will be given. Applications include: DEM Mapping, Earthquake Monitoring, Volcano Deformation Monitoring, Ice Dynamics, Land Subsidence Measurement and Land Surface Change Detection. Tom's first form of catastrophe is simply called the "fold". Consider a balloon being blown up by someone at a party. The control variable in this change is air pressure, because reducing or increasing air pressure alters the balloon's dynamics. As the air pressure in the balloon increases, the system approaches the edge of the catastrophe fold. If pushed too far it falls over the fold - into oblivion. After passing through its "fold catastrophe", the balloon burst and the system no longer exists. 2, record 18, English, - catastrophe

Record number: 18, Textual support number: 1 OBS
2, record 18, French, - catastrophe

Representing the evolution in time of a dynamic system by left shifts of the digits in a suitable number system brings out another important property of systems for which such a representation is possible. No matter how accurately the initial condition x0 of a coordinate is known, the accuracy will always be finite, that is, the digits of x0 to the right of the last known digit will be unknown. As the dynamic system evolves in time, the unknown digits will be shifted to the left; that is, they will grow in significance, and will sooner or later arrive at the "decimal" point and thus dominate the behavior of the system. And because the digits are unknown, this behavior will be completely unpredictable. The resulting motion is called chaotic. 2, record 19, English, - chaotic
