A form of waterskiing where the skier uses one or two small skis.

Trick skiing is performed using one or two very short skis rather than the conventional gear. In it, skiers try to perform tricks somewhat similar to those of gymnasts while being pulled along by the boat.

Figures. La discipline la plus complète dans l'apprentissage du ski nautique. Le ski est si instable au début, que l'on nomme cela couramment «une savonnette». Cette épreuve passée, on découvre alors le plaisir de toutes sortes de retournements, tracté aussi bien par les mains que par un pied. C'est une discipline qui, avec le temps, a beaucoup évolué et la succession de sauts périlleux ou autres figures, relève du grand art. Le but est d’enchaîner un maximum de figures en 2 parcours de 20 secondes chacun.

Le ski acrobatique, ou ski de figures, est une discipline qui exige un grand sens de l’équilibre, beaucoup d’habileté et de créativité. Contrairement aux disciplines traditionnelles, vous devez courir contre la montre et votre performance est jugée à partir de la qualité dos vos figures.

Le skieur pratique le ski, le plus souvent derrière un bateau dans trois disciplines : slalom, saut et figures.

Chacun pratique selon ses goûts : ski classique, mono-ski, ski de slalom, wake-board, saut au tremplin.
