The annual Fair of Villages, presented by Solidarité rurale du Québec, gives regional county municipalities all over Quebec a great opportunity to show what they have to offer and promote the idea of moving to rural communities.

La foire des villages est la vitrine des milieux ruraux du Québec. Née avec le millénaire, elle revient aux deux ans dans l'enceinte du Marché Bonsecours à Montréal. Elle a pour objectifs de faire le pont entre le monde rural et le monde urbain québécois, de valoriser et promouvoir la ruralité, ses potentiels économiques et humains ainsi que la qualité de vie qu'elle offre. Elle rassemble, pour une fin de semaine intensive, les instances les mieux habilitées et les plus enthousiastes à mener cette vaste opération de séduction auprès des urbains... les MRC(municipalités régionales de comité) du Québec, elles-mêmes.
