Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 CONT
The arrector muscles of the hair, or arrector pili, are formed by bundles of closely packed smooth muscle cells. The muscle extends obliquely attaching to the hair follicle to the papillary layer of the dermis. ... When the arrector pili muscle contracts, it pulls the hair into a vertical position. It also elevates the epidermis where the hair enters and depresses the epidermis where the muscle attaches at the papillary layer of the dermis, thus forming small hillocks known as goosebumps. In addition, because of the relationship between the arrector pili muscle and the sebaceous gland at the hair follicle, its contraction aids the expulsion of the glands contents. 2, record 2, English, - arrector%20muscle%20of%20hair

3, record 5, French, - follicule%20de%20De%20Graaf

A study was conducted examining the rates of development of components of the reproductive tract during sexual maturation in a flock of naturally mating Bronze turkeys. Birds were processed at 7-d intervals beginning at photostimulation (29.5 wk of age), for the following 5 wk, and following their first oviposition. The relatively low BW of this strain (6.6 kg) was associated with a very low lipid content (16.4%), abdominal fat pad weight (107 g), and breast muscle weight (1.15 kg). At sexual maturity the ovary contained 12.2 large yellow follicles with 1.4 unreconciled POF (the remnant of the site of ovulation). The presence of unreconciled POF suggest that this may be a natural phenomenon in turkeys and not limited to modern fast growing strains. 3, record 12, English, - unreconciled%20POF

... ovaries normally grow cyst-like structures called follicles each month. Follicles produce the hormones estrogen and progesterone and release an egg when you ovulate ... Around the midpoint of [the] menstrual cycle, an egg bursts out of its follicle and begins its journey down the fallopian tube in search of sperm and fertilization. A follicular cyst begins when something goes wrong and the follicle doesn't rupture or release its egg. Instead it grows and turns into a cyst. 4, record 14, English, - follicular%20cyst%20of%20ovary
