Le ME SECAM(pour «Middle East Secam») est un codage spécifique aux magnétoscopes grand public. Dans certains pays(en particulier au Moyen-Orient), pour des raisons technico-commerciales liées aux normes d’émission, il est plus simple d’utiliser des magnétoscopes PAL sur lesquels on enregistre des images codées en SECAM. La cassette obtenue contient des images SECAM, mais enregistrées de manière différente de celles habituellement enregistrées sur un vrai magnétoscope SECAM.
