ADVIRC is a dominantly inherited bestrophinopathy which affects the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) cells of the eye. ... Patients with ADVIRC have a highly pigmented circular band present in the outer regions (periphery) of the retina, with a distinct border between the highly pigmented retina and normal retina. This so called "hyperpigmented" band is a distinctive characteristic of the disease in all older patients. Early in the disease ADVIRC affects the outer retina and there may be very little change in the appearance of the central retina, but as ADVIRC progresses it can affect the macular region, causing central vision loss. 3, record 1, English, - autosomal%20dominant%20vitreoretinochoroidopathy

3, record 1, French, - vitr%C3%A9or%C3%A9tinochoro%C3%AFdopathie%20autosomique%20dominante

A favourite manoeuvre in naval battle with fleets sailing in the normal battle disposition of line ahead. If a fleet in this disposition, either by a superiority of speed or by approaching at an angle, can cross ahead of the enemy's line approximately at right angles, it has a considerable tactical advantage in that all its guns can be fired on the broadside while the enemy can reply only with those guns which can fire ahead. It is also a tactical situation which forces an enemy to turn away, and in the resulting loss of speed during the turn and the difficulty of keeping guns bearing on an enemy while turning, the fleet "crossing the T" has a considerable gunnery advantage. 2, record 2, English, - crossing%20the%20T

A log is the recording of one physical property of the formation crossed through by a borehole or of the geometric characteristics of the hole or casing or the flow behavior of a well as a function of depth. Wireline logging is performed with a sonde or probe lowered into the borehole or well, usually after the drillstring has been withdrawn. 4, record 7, English, - wireline%20log

Measurements include electrical properties ... sonic properties, active and passive nuclear measurements, dimensional measurements of the wellbore, formation fluid sampling, formation pressure measurement, wireline-conveyed sidewall coring tools, and others. In wireline measurements, the logging tool (or sonde) is lowered into the open wellbore on a multiple conductor, contra-helically armored wireline. Once lowered to the bottom of the interval of interest, the measurements are taken on the way out of the wellbore. This is done in an attempt to maintain tension on the cable (which stretches) as constant as possible for depth correlation purposes ... Most wireline measurements are recorded continuously even though the sonde is moving. 3, record 7, English, - wireline%20log

3, record 16, French, - l%C3%A8vre%20sup%C3%A9rieure
