National Joint Council. The Joint Employment Equity Committee provides a national forum where the Treasury Board Secretariat, the Public Service Commission and the Bargaining Agents can consult and collaborate on the preparation, implementation and revision of the public service wide employment equity policies. The Committee also provides interpretations, on request, on departmental-agency consultation and collaboration issues that fall under the Employment Equity Act.
