2, record 1, French, - fonds%20de%20roulement

Recombination. Reversal of the ionisation by the bonding of free electrons with positive ions. During recombination, the energy invested for ionisation is released again. It is emitted in the form of ultraviolet radiation. This UV [ultraviolet] radiation causes further plasma reactions, in particular the splitting of molecules into radicals. If the ions of a plasma find no reaction partner, they will recombine to form a neutral atom in a matter of split seconds. 2, record 5, English, - recombination

Recombinaison. 1, record 6, French, - marquage%20des%20%C3%A9cailles

Detection efficiency. The intrinsic detection efficiency of any device operated in pulse mode is defined as the probability that a quantum of radiation incident on the detector will produce a recorded pulse. Especially for radiations of low intensity, a high detection efficiency is important to minimize the total time needed to record enough pulses for good statistical accuracy in the measurement. Detection efficiency is further subdivided into two types: total efficiency and peak efficiency. The total efficiency gives the probability that an incident quantum of radiation produces a pulse, regardless of size, from the detector. The peak efficiency is defined as the probability that the quantum will deposit all its initial energy in the detector. Since there are almost always ways in which the quantum may deposit only part of its energy and then escape from the detector, the total efficiency is generally larger than the peak efficiency. 1, record 19, English, - peak%20efficiency

The effect of radiation on the human body depends on the rate of exposure. It is also dependent on how much of the body is irradiated. A whole body exposure, denoted WBE, is the result of irradiation to the full trunk of the body. A partial exposure refers to specific organs or extremities. For example, a dose of 500 R of x-rays to the whole body will result in death, whereas the same dose to an extremity, such as a hand, will result in a case of erythema, a form of dermatitis. 2, record 25, English, - partial%20exposure

1, record 25, French, - exposition%20partielle

Prototype will consist of a spherical primary mirror composed of seven hexagonal segments, each measuring about 33 cm flat-to-flat. Segmented primary mirror will measure roughly one meter in diameter and the finished array (including a tetrahedral support truss, edge sensors, actuators, and segment electronics) will weigh less than 17 kg. 3, record 35, English, - segmented%20mirror

1, record 46, French, - %C3%A9nergie%20dans%20le%20centre%20de%20masse

The production of L-methionine and L-phenylalanine from the corresponding N-acetyl-DL-derivatives using kidney or microbial acylase was chosen as a model to test the enzyme membrane reactor... Enzymatic resolution can only be competitive when coupled with an efficient enzyme recycling or immobilization system and an easy racemization of the undesired acetyl-D-amino acids. 1, record 47, English, - production%20of%20L%2Dmethionine

1, record 47, French, - production%20de%20la%20L%2Dm%C3%A9thionine
