Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 OBS
Presently, the term Monteggia's fracture has been used to describe fractures of the proximal ulna accompanied by all dislocations of the radial head; however, based on the original presentation, it should probably be reserved only for those with anterior dislocation. A fracture of the proximal ulna with posterior dislocation of the radial head has been referred to as a reverse Monteggia's fracture. 4, record 2, English, - Monteggia%27s%20fracture

In children, bending of a long bone or bones occurring as a result of angulation and compressive forces, without any evidence of a fracture. It is particularly common in the radius or ulna and less commonly found in the fibula. In the forearm both bones may be bowed, or there may be an associated complete or incomplete fracture or dislocation of the other. The fibular bow fracture is usually associated with a complete fracture of the tibia. [From RSKEL, 1982, pp. 68, 69.] 3, record 5, English, - bowing%20fracture
