Intraarticular avulsion fracture subluxation of the base of the first metacarpal. The fracture produces a small volar lip fragment that remains attached to the trapezium and trapezoid by means of the strong volar oblique ligament while the shaft fragment is displaced by proximal muscle pull. 2, record 2, English, - Bennett%27s%20fracture

Widening of the joint space suggests increased volume within the joint cavity. This results from four mechanisms: increased thickness of the cartilage, fluid in the joint cavity, deposition of fibrous material between the articular ends of the bones during the endstage of a destructive process, and resorption of bone. 2, record 4, English, - joint%20space%20widening
