Mon travail de thèse consiste dans un premier temps à étudier la technique de stabilisation en fréquence du laser sur une cavité triangulaire(stabilisation de l'ordre de 1E-11 lambda par rapport à la cavité de référence), ainsi que l'alignement automatique du laser sur une seconde cavité appelée «mode cleaner» permettant de sélectionner le mode fondamental du faisceau laser gaussien.

Le gyrolaser est un oscillateur optique dans lequel un laser émet deux ondes progressives indépendantes qui parcourent une cavité résonnante en sens contraire l’une de l’autre. Dans les gyrolasers des centrales Sagem [...] cette cavité a la forme d’un triangle équilatéral et trois électrodes (deux anodes et une cathode) excitent un mélange d’hélium et de néon créant ainsi un milieu amplificateur. Figure 3.82 : gyrolaser à cavité triangulaire [...] Des gyrolasers à cavité carrée ont aussi été développés.
