The term "fruit load" is the maximum weight of fruit that the plant can bear. Fruit load depends on a plant's stem size, amount of foliage, and it's root system. When a plant reaches it's fruit load it will stop producing flowers. To increase the yield, pick pods at their largest green form early in the season. Then the plant will continue to flower and set fruit for a longer growing season. 2, record 26, English, - fruit%20load

A relatively new concept in the word of fruit production is known as IFP or Integrated Fruit Production. At the heart of this program is integrated pest management. However, IFP goes beyond that in that it looks at the whole orchard system from the planting of trees through to storage and packing of the harvested fruit. In IFP, the whole fruit growing system is considered. Cultural practices, environmental management, safety, record keeping and education are all a part of integrated fruit production. As a result of practicing IFP, the following goals can be achieved: production of optimum yields of quality fruit; achievement of a standard of sustainable food production; production of a safe, high quality food product for consumers. 3, record 32, English, - integrated%20fruit%20production

2, record 35, French, - %C3%A9claircissage%20chimique
