Acidizing. Varied volumes of hydrochloric acid are used in limestone and dolomite or other acid-soluble formations to dissolve the existing flow-channel walls and enlarge them ... 2, record 3, French, - acidification
Record number: 3, Textual support number: 1 CONT
3, record 3, French, - acidification
Record number: 3, Textual support number: 2 CONT

Contaminant. In some contexts ... used as a synonym for "pollutant" ... In air pollution contexts the two terms are used synonymously, but some authors make a distinction, considering a contaminant to be an addition (e.g., carbon dioxide) to the atmosphere that causes the composition of the latter to vary from its mean global values, but which is not known to have any deleterious effect. 3, record 4, English, - gaseous%20pollutant

Chlorine dioxide manufacture. Chlorine dioxide is an explosive gas and cannot be prepared safely in undiluted form nor can it be liquified for transport and storage, therefore it must be manufactured on site. The processes that have been developed which generate chlorine dioxide in dilute aqueous solution by reducing sodium chlorate in a strong acid solution with a reducing agent usually sulphur dioxide, methanol, sodium/hydrogen chloride and lastly hydrogen peroxide. 1, record 5, English, - chlorine%20dioxide%20manufacture
