The Aboriginal Skills and Employment Partnership (ASEP) initiative is helping to shape Canada's workforce by providing Aboriginal people with the skills development and work experience they need to participate in large-scale industrial sectors including forestry, mining, oil and gas, construction and hydro electric development. Officially launched in 2003 as an $85-million five-year labour market initiative, ASEP is designed to maximize training and job opportunities in major economic development projects across Canada. It does this by meeting employers' needs and labour market demands for skilled workers. ASEP's ultimate success is contingent on the strong partnerships forged between Aboriginal groups, the private sector, federal, provincial and/or territorial governments, labour, and educational institutions. 1, record 14, English, - Aboriginal%20Skills%20and%20Employment%20Partnership

The Microgravity Science Glovebox (MSG) is a joint development project between NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA). The double rack unit is a versatile research facility designed to permit the flexibility of crew-manipulated investigations. Its configuration has been planned around the concept of an experimental workstation where a variety of experiments can be installed and operated in a fashion very similar to their operation in a ground-based laboratory. ... Specifically, the facility provides a large enclosed work volume, power, video, photography, vacuum connections, heat rejection, stowage, filtered air, gaseous nitrogen, lighting, airlock access, physical positioning and hold-down attachments, and computer data acquisition and control capabilities. 3, record 25, English, - microgravity%20science%20glovebox

Matric potential is the most important component in soil, but is more difficult to visualize. Water will not freely leave soil unless soil is very wet. This is because of adhesion and cohesion. Imagine placing a clump of dry soil on a table, then dropping a drop of water onto the clump of dry soil. If you elevate the soil off of the table, will the water leap out of it, dropping to the table? Of course not. It will stay in the soil, held by adhesion, or what we often call matric forces. The symbol for matric potential is [psi subscript m]. These values are negative or zero, but never positive, because this water is not free to move to the zero state. ... 1, record 39, French, - m%C3%A9thode%20d%26rsquo%3Bextraction%20par%20solvants

Vacuum Exhaust System (Waste Gas). All of the laboratory modules contain the plumbing to support a waste gas exhaust system that is vented to space. A 2.5 cm (1 in.) diameter gas line connected to this exhaust system is provided at each of the ISPR [International Standard Payload Racks] locations. The pressure allowed into the waste gas line is 275.8 kPa (40 psia). The temperature of the exhaust waste gas is allowed to be be between 15.6-45°C (60-113°F). The waste gas system can reach pressures of 1 x 10 [minus³] torr (1.9 x 10minus 5 psia) in less than two hours for a single payload volume of 100 liters (3.5 ft³) at an initial pressure of 101.4 kPa (14.7 psia). The waste gas system is a shared and scheduled resource that can only be operated at one ISPR location within each module at a time. This requirement is to prevent cross contamination of payloads and incompatible mixtures of waste gas constituents. There are four widely used operating configurations for gas fired appliances: modulating fire, on-off, hi-low, and multi-stage firing. Modulating fire is accomplished by mechanically varying the size of the gas admittance opening of one or more special "modulating" gas valves. With the gas valve completely open the boiler fires at it's full fire rate. The unit is said to be at "full turndown" when it fires at it's lowest firing rate. The "turndown ratio" is the ratio of full fire rate to full turndown firing rate and is a function of boiler design. A turn down ratio of 5:1 would indicate that a boiler is capable of a full turndown firing rate of 20% (5:1 (100% fire : 20% fire). 3, record 49, English, - modulating%20fire

1, record 62, French, - d%C3%A9mon%20de%20Szilard
