The Labour Relations and Compensation Operations (LRCO) Branch is responsible for the management of labour-management relations and compensation operations. It conducts collective bargaining for the Core Public Administration; oversees pay administration; develops and interprets government-wide administrative policies; and, provides advice and support to departments and agencies on labour relations issues. LRCO also supports the Treasury Board in its role in ensuring fiscally responsible expenditure management by determining compensation for the Core Public Administration (except for the executive group), the Canadian Forces, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. La Direction des relations de travail et des opérations de rémunération(RTOR) est chargée de gérer les relations patronales-syndicales et les opérations de rémunération. Elle mène les négociations collectives pour l'administration publique centrale, supervise l'administration de la paye, élabore et interprète des politiques administratives à l'échelle du gouvernement, et donne des conseils et fournit de l'aide aux ministères et organismes sur des questions liées aux relations de travail. La Direction des RTOR aide également le Conseil du Trésor à assumer son rôle pour assurer une gestion des dépenses responsable sur le plan financier en établissant la rémunération des employés de l'administration publique centrale(sauf celle du groupe des cadres supérieurs), des Forces canadiennes et de la Gendarmerie royale du Canada. Bernard Diamant Prize, which offers professional Canadian classical singers under age 35 an opportunity to pursue their careers through further studies. The prize was created in 2001 with funds from a generous bequest to the Canada Council by the late Bernard Diamant, as well as through memorial gifts from a number of his friends, colleagues and former voice students.
