It may be seen in people without mental disorder, particularly in situations in which they are distracted or fatigued. Illogical thinking has psychopathological significance only when it is marked, as in the examples noted below, and when it is not due to cultural or religious values or to an intellectual deficit. Markedly illogical thinking may lead to, or result from, a delusional belief, or may be observed in the absence of a delusion. Examples: A patient explained that she gave her family IBM cards, which she punched, in an effort to improve communication with them. Another patient stated: Parents are the people that raise you. Parents can be anything-material, vegetable, or mineral-that has taught you something. A person can look at a rock and learn something from it, so a rock is a parent." In response to the question "Why did you go to Kingston?" a patient replied, "Because I believe in the King James Bible and my name is James. I went to Kingston to see the Queen". 1, record 1, English, - illogical%20thinking

Quebec City, August 14 1998 - The Honourable Andy Mitchell, Secretary of State (Parks), today announced the unveiling of a plaque from the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada, commemorating the national historical significance of the Siege of Quebec City in 1775-1776. "Quebec City is a precious witness to the military history of Canada," said Mr. Mitchell. "I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to a reenactment of battles on the Plains of Abraham this weekend as part of the event Taking the Capital by Storm." This plaque recalls the victory against the American troops assaulting Quebec City in 1775, during the American Revolution. The displays of force of the Canadian and British detachments prevented the American invaders from taking the colony. The unveiling of a plaque commemorating the Siege of Quebec City in 1775-1776 follows recommendations made by the Board. 1, record 2, English, - Taking%20the%20Capital%20by%20Storm

1, record 2, French, - %C3%80%20l%26rsquo%3Bassaut%20de%20la%20Capitale
