Huile de jojoba : Huile de première pression à froid, extraite des fruits du Simmondsia chinensis, arbuste des régions désertiques du Mexique et de l'Arizona. Riche en insaponifiables, elle est utilisée par les Indiens de ces régions comme protection antidéshydratante et antiride. Calmante et assouplissante, cette "cire végétale" est remarquablement compatible avec l'épiderme car elle a la propriété, unique dans le monde végétal, d’avoir des caractéristiques proches de celles du sébum humain. En cosmétique elle remplace avantageusement l'huile de blanc de baleine et elle excelle dans le soin des cheveux secs. La jojoba es un producto natural que se extrae de las semillas de la planta que lleva su nombre y que es un arbusto originario del desierto de Sonora, al norte de Mexico. Durante cientos de años, fue reconocida y utilizada por los Aztecas antes del descubrimiento de América, quienes le atribuyeron propiedades mágicas. Recientes investigaciones confirman que las leyendas Aztecas, son superadas con creces por las propiedades reales de éste aceite (o más correctamente, cera líquida), de composición química similar a las ceramidas de nuestra piel.
