An English invention, the Inverform was developed in the late 1950's to overcome the quality and speed limitations of the cylinder former in manufacturing multiply paperboards. Basically, this system consists of a fourdrinier wire upon which are located a number of secondary headboxes with top-wire formers .... The top liner is formed onto the fourdrinier wire in the usual manner, and subsequent plies are laid down between the main wire and the top wire formers. Dewatering takes place mainly upwards, thus avoiding the problems of water removal through an increasingly thick base web. 1, record 13, English, - Inverform%26trade%3B

2, record 31, French, - l%C3%A8vre%20inf%C3%A9rieure
