Le dernier segment [d’un membre pair], ou autopode, est le plus complexe. Il comprend lui-même trois régions. La région proximale de l'autopode constitue le basipode. Il est formé de petits os courts, disposés en trois rangées : la première rangée, proximale, comporte typiquement trois os, la deuxième rangée(éléments centraux) comprendrait typiquement quatre os, la région distale du basipode est formée de cinq éléments. Au basipode fait suite le métapode : formé de cinq os allongés.
