MOUVEMENT FLUAGE [4 records]

Record 1 2013-06-03

English

Subject field(s)
  • Glaciology
DEF

A theoretical internal movement within an ice-sheet, resulting from differences of pressure, such that maximum rates of movement are postulated for the deeper ice layers which are thought to be more plastic ...

French

Domaine(s)
  • Glaciologie
DEF

Record 3 2000-12-14

English

Subject field(s)
  • Rheology
CONT

Nabarro-Herring creep. This form of creep, also known as Nabarro-Herring-Coble creep, relies on diffusion or diffusion accommodated grain boundary sliding. An enhanced form of this creep is known as superplastic creep. The name superplasticity derives from the ability of supporting large strain without fracture. It can occur if equal amounts of equally deformable phases are present as in eutectoid composition.

DEF

  • Plastics Manufacturing
CONT

Regardless of the style, all heads can be fitted with parison programming. A parison programmer is a device that can change the gap or relationship between the head tooling die and mandrel while the parison is extruded. Thus, the wall thickness of the parison is changed and becomes ringed with sections of thinner and thicker material. These "rings" are located to correspond to specific sections of the bottle or blow-molded part where the part thickness may be too thin or too thick. For many blow-molded parts, parison programming has the potential of reducing part weight and cost while improving performance and strength.

CONT

Parison thickness can be varied in the lengthwise direction as well, by using a process called parison programming.

Domaine(s)
  • Plasturgie
CONT

[...]-Programmation hydraulique. [...]-Programmation électro-hydraulique. [...]
