MOUVEMENT LATERALITE [3 records]

Record 1 2013-08-23

English

Subject field(s)
  • Symptoms (Medicine)
  • Musculoskeletal System
CONT

Dynamic stabilizers of the patella also control tibial rotation and patellar gliding. Thus, weakness or insufficiency of the VMO [vastus medialis obliquus] in participants with PFPS [patellofemoral pain syndrome] may contribute to abnormal lateral movement of the patella. This abnormal lateral movement may, as a compensatory mechanism, increase knee valgus and hip internal rotation and decrease knee flexion, which could influence the performance in the anterior directions of the SEBT [Star Excursion Balance Test] among those with PFPS.

French

Domaine(s)

  • Appareil locomoteur (Médecine)
CONT

Le diagnostic [de l'entorse] est fait par l'examen clinique qui retrouve un mouvement anormal de latéralité.

Record 3 2010-07-07

English

Subject field(s)
  • Bones and Joints
CONT

There are many tests to demonstrate rotatory instability including lateral pivot shift, flexion rotation drawer, Slocum test and the jerk test.

CONT

The lateral pivot shift performed in that manner results in subluxation of the radius and ulna off the humerus which causes a prominence posterolaterally over the radial head and a dimple between the radial head and the capitellum.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Os et articulations
CONT

La recherche des mouvements de latéralité est pratiquée sur le genou en extension, puis en flexion à 30 degrés, ce qui détend les ligaments latéraux et permet de tester les croisés.
