While high reflecting power ... adds to the general intensity in the room, it delays the rapid decay which is necessary to prevent overlapping of successive sounds and consequent lack of intelligibility in speech, or a 'smudgy' rendering of a concert-piece. 1, record 1, English, - reflecting%20power

3, record 1, French, - pouvoir%20de%20r%C3%A9flexion

A graph of the hourly equivalent sound level (Leq), maximum sound level (Lmax), 90th percentile sound level (L90), minimum sound level (Lmin), and minimum equivalent sound level over the monitoring period (min Leq) is presented ... The one-hour Leq is an energy-averaged level and is considered a good single number descriptor of human response to environmental noise effects. 1, record 2, English, - energy%2Daveraged%20level
