Prolapse of the nucleus pulposus into the vertebral body. Schmorl's nodes are seen in disease processes that weaken or disrupt the endplate or subchondral bone, including intervertebral osteochondrosis, Scheuermann's disease, trauma, infection, metabolic and endocrine disorders, and neoplasm. Pénétration d’une partie de la substance du nucleus pulposus dans le corps vertébral.
