Oleoresin capsicum (OC) is an oily extract of pepper plants of the genus "Capsicum." ... It is used as a spice in salsa, chili, curries, and hot sauces; as a pharmacologic agent in topical anesthetic and analgesic creams; and as the principal active ingredient in OC spray, or "pepper spray," used by police and others as an antipersonnel agent. OC extract consists of a complex mixture of fat soluble phenols known as capsaicinoids; capsaicin (trans-8-methyl-N-vanillyl-6-nonenamide) and dihydrocapsaicin, the most potent homologues, make up 80-90% of the total. Capsaicinoid content determines the "hotness" of the extract. 3, record 48, English, - Capsicum%20oleoresin

Oleoresin Capsicum. In the early 1980's Zarc International, Inc. introduced a proprietary "capsicum pepper technology" to be used as a safe and effective non-lethal weapon by military and law enforcement. "Capsicums" are chili peppers which occur in many varieties that range from mild to hot. Capsicum encompasses twenty species and some 300 different varieties of pepper plants.

4, record 49, French, - principes%20scientifiques%20%C3%A9prouv%C3%A9s

For the purpose of this discussion, "weaponization" is limited to destructive mechanisms and do not include observation, communications or other non-destructive activities, even if military in nature. The weaponization of space could take a variety of forms. First, there is the threat from above posed by space strike or orbital bombardment weapon systems. Orbital bombardment weapons are weapon systems that operate in space for one or more orbits and strike at land, sea or air targets. Secondly, there are anti-satellite (ASAT) weapon systems used to permanently degrade, damage or destroy enemy satellites. Lastly, there are ballistic missile defence (BMD) weapon systems. Some variants of BMD systems may be based in outer space and be used to destroy incoming ballistic missiles through the boost and mid-course phases of their flight. Putative weapons, such as orbiting space-based lasers based on "exotic" technologies or variants of conventionally-armed and kinetic energy "kill- mechanism" missile interceptors may be capable of performing all three functions. 3, record 52, English, - weapanization%20of%20space

1, record 93, French, - commande%20tout%20%C3%A9lectrique

If one person points a gun at another and says, "Your money or your life", it might be argued that it is not assault because the plaintiff may avoid any harm by complying with the condition and parting with his money. It could be contended that the requirement of immediacy is absent. (...) It is sometimes said that words alone cannot constitute an assault. Normally, this is correct, but it is not invariable so. This notion is a variant of the requirement of immediacy; in other words, a mere threat unaccompanied by some conduct indicating that it is to be executed immediately lacks the element of imminence necessary for liability. 1, record 99, English, - immediacy

1, record 99, French, - imminence
