Non-invasive imaging broadly encompasses techniques for generating images of the internal structures or regions of an object or person that are otherwise inaccessible for visual inspection. One of the best known uses of non-invasive imaging is in the medical arts where these techniques are used to generate images of organs ... inside a patient which would otherwise not be visible. Examples of such non-invasive imaging modalities include X-ray radiography and other X-ray based imaging techniques, such as tomosynthesis.

1, record 25, French, - chauffage%20par%20particules%20neutres

Gravity gradient stabilisation uses the principle that a body in orbit around the Earth will tend to rotate about it's centre of mass, as each part of the body will tend to follow it's own orbit.

3, record 47, French, - s%C3%A9parateur%20magn%C3%A9tique%20%C3%A0%20d%C3%A9viation

There are two variations ... [of the maglev] ... The so-called repulsion-mode electrodynamic system, proposed by Powell and Danby ... [and] the attraction-mode electromagnetic system [developed in Germany]. [In this system] conventional (nonsuperconducting) iron-core electromagnets carried by the vehicle are attracted upward toward ferromagnetic components attached to the underside of the guideway structure. This type of magnetic suspension is inherently unstable and needs precise control to maintain a clearance of about l.5 centimeters between the vehicle's magnets and the guideway. One advantage, however, is that the vehicle remains levitated even when motionless and thus could be used for urban and commuter transit as well as for longer, high-speed routes. 2, record 49, English, - attraction%2Dmode%20electromagnetic%20maglev
