En 1981, Philippe Druelle, D. O. fonde la première école d’Ostéopathie au Canada, le Collège d’Études Ostéopathiques de Montréal avec l'aide de son ami Jean Guy Sicotte, MD, D. O. Il donne pour but à cette institution de réunir le patrimoine de l'Ostéopathie traditionnelle regroupant les différentes méthodes thérapeutiques myofasciales, ostéoarticulaires, viscérales et appliquées à la sphère crânienne. Cet objectif fut un succès et le Collège d’Études Ostéopathiques est actuellement considéré comme une excellente référence au Québec et au niveau international.
