An umbilical hernia creates a soft swelling or bulge near the navel. It occurs when part of the intestine protrudes through the umbilical opening in the abdominal muscles. Umbilical hernias in children are usually painless. Umbilical hernias are most common in infants, but they can affect adults as well. ... Children's umbilical hernias often close on their own in the first two years of life, though some remain open into the fifth year or longer. Umbilical hernias that appear during adulthood are more likely to need surgical repair. 3, record 1, English, - umbilical%20hernia

Diving Apparatus. Any equipment to enable a person to spend time underwater. Diving bells were in regular use in the 17th century, the diver breathing air trapped in a bell-shaped chamber. This was followed by cumbersome diving suits in the early 19th century. Complete freedom of movement came with the aqualung, invented by Jacques-Yves Cousteau in the early 1940s. For work at greater depths the technique of saturation diving was developed in the 1970s in which divers live for a week or more breathing a mixture of helium and oxygen at the pressure existing on the seabed where they work (as in work on North Sea platforms and tunnel building). 3, record 13, English, - diving%20apparatus

3, record 13, French, - scaphandre

The umbilical is an essential item of equipment for offshore oil and gas developments based on the use of subsea facilities. It provides the links from the host facility through which control is exercised, power is transmitted and utilities such as injection chemicals are supplied to the subsea wells.
