Even at dawn, the giant mine trucks are rolling, [bringing] in coal from the mine pits to the processing area where the coal will be processed and then fed to the loading silos. These diesel-electric trucks (a diesel motor runs a generator that powers electric motors that turn the wheels) are much too large to travel on normal roads and are shipped to the mining areas as kits which then undergo final assembly on location.
