Because traditional surrogates are the biological mothers, this type of surrogacy is less common and is legally and emotionally riskier than its preferred counterpart, gestational surrogacy. 3, record 2, French, - follicule%20de%20De%20Graaf

Bindin is an adhesive protein that mediates the binding of sea urchin sperm to the egg during fertilization. Bindin selectively associates with gel-phase phospholipid vesicles in a peripheral fashion. Bindin interacts specifically with sulfated furan on the egg's surface, and directly with the phospholipid bilayer of the sperm. Analysis of a series of deletion mutants of recombinant bindin was undertaken to define the membrane associating domain of bindin. Recombinant and sperm bindin display nearly identical binding kinetics to gel-phase phospholipids and have equivalent saturation points of approx. 250 lipid molecules per molecule of bindin [Source: PASCAL database]. 1, record 12, English, - bindin

2, record 38, French, - tube%20acrosomial

The actual method used in initial crossing of wheat varieties is conditioned by the fact that wheat is bi-sexual and normally self-pollinating. Before the wheat plant has shed its pollen, the anthers are removed with forceps from the flowers of the plant that is to become the female parent, and a cover is slipped over the emasculated wheat head to exclude foreign pollen. Two or three days later, the cover is taken off and ripe anthers are removed from another wheat plant, selected as the male parent, broken over the stigma of each emasculated flower, and the cover replaced. The fertilized egg cells now develop into grains which usually mature a little more than a month later. 2, record 69, English, - fertilized%20egg%20cell

1, record 69, French, - ovule%20f%C3%A9cond%C3%A9

The embryonics team developed an artificial cell, dubbed biodule (biological module), that is used as an elementary unit from which multicellular organisms can ontogenetically develop to perform useful tasks.
