The turn and slip indicator ... The instrument is usually calibrated to indicate a rate one turn when the turn needle is centred on one of the indexes seen either side of the centre index. In a straight and level flight, the ball and needle are both centred. In a correctly banked turn, the needle indicates the rate of the turn. The forces acting on the ball cause it to remain centred. 1, record 1, English, - correctly%20banked%20turn

6, record 1, French, - virage%20coordonn%C3%A9

The other component of the turn coordinator is the inclinometer, better known as the rudder ball. This is a black ball in a liquid-filled, curved and sealed tube. The ball is there to help keep your turns coordinated. That is, to prevent the airplane's tail from skidding to the outside of a turn or slipping to the inside. In a skid, the ball will roll opposite to the direction of the turn; In a [slip], the ball moves to the inside of the turn. To prevent slips or skids, pilots are told to "step on the ball," meaning apply pressure to the rudder corresponding to the ball's location. Ball left? Step on the left rudder until the ball centers. 2, record 2, English, - step%20on%20the%20ball

1, record 3, French, - indicateur%20paravisuel
