The good old prusik knot is very, very useful. All you need is a loop of cord which you can make using 6 or 7 mm accessory cord and a double fisherman's knot. A propeller the blades of which have been rotated so that the leading and trailing edges are nearly parallel with the aircraft flight path to stop or minimize drag and engine rotation. 2, record 10, English, - feathered%20propeller
Record number: 10, Textual support number: 1 CONT
The term "feathering" refers to the operation of rotating the blades of a propeller to an edge-to-the-wing position for the purpose of stopping the rotation of the propeller whose blades are thus feathered and to reduce drag. Therefore, a feathered blade is in an approximate in-line-of-flight position, streamlined with the line of flight. Some, but not all, propellers can be feathered. Feathering is necessary when an engine fails or when it is desirable to shut off an engine in flight. The pressure of the air on the face and back of the feathered blade is equal, and the propeller will stop rotating. If it is not feathered when its engine stops driving it, the propeller will "windmill" and cause drag. Another advantage of being able to feather a propeller is that a feathered propeller creates less resistance (drag) and disturbance to the flow of air over the wings and tail of the airplane. 3, record 10, English, - feathered%20propeller

3, record 10, French, - h%C3%A9lice%20en%20drapeau

The Spanish term "cordaje" and the French cognate "cordage" are both collective nouns that denote the set of strings that make up the "stringbed". Another appropriate English equivalent would be "racquet strings" - in the plural. In comparison, the singular term "cuerda" denotes the thin material we call "string" in English. When used in the plural, "cuerdas" and "cordes" are synonomous with "cordaje" and "cordage" respectively. Another point to watch out for: the Spanish term "cordaje" is polysemous. It can denote the process of putting strings on a tennis racquet (=stringing) or it can denote the end product, i.e. the set of strings found on a tennis racquet. Various types of strings used today: multilfilament, multicore (with or without wraps), solid core, textured, unique, construction, hybrid. 3, record 16, English, - strings

1, record 37, French, - lier%20trois%20des%20quatre%20pattes
