Canadian citizens between the ages of 18 and 30 are eligible for the Working Holiday Program (New Zealand) if they are able to satisfy the visa officer that the primary intention is to holiday in New Zealand -- with employment being an incidental rather than a primary reason for the visit. Participants must also possess a return travel ticket and sufficient funds for the first six months of their visit to New Zeland. The goal is to increase the movement of young people between Canada and New Zeland and to strengthen the links between the two countries.
