Record 1 2024-02-19

English

Subject field(s)
  • Pharmacology
CONT

Drugs that share similar characteristics are grouped together as a pharmacologic class (or family). Beta-adrenergic blockers are an example of a pharmacologic class, because all the drugs in that class perform in the same way.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Pharmacologie
DEF

OBS

Exemples : anticalciques, bêta-bloquants, antihistaminiques H2, bêta-stimulants, corticoïdes…

Record 3 2023-06-01

English

Subject field(s)
  • Pharmacodynamics
  • Drugs and Drug Addiction
  • Toxicology
CONT

Pharmacodynamic tolerance ... results from changes in the drug–receptor interaction. These changes may involve a decrease in the number of receptors or a change in the signal transduction pathway ... In the short term, changes in receptor number or binding affinity can be caused by inactivation or receptors ..., internalization, and degradation of cell surface receptors, or other mechanisms.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Pharmacodynamie
  • Drogues et toxicomanie
  • Toxicologie
CONT
