... inertial platform control implies the continuous orientation of the gimbal system (cluster) to some predetermined reference frame, after an initial alignment. Platform heading can be maintained through signals to the gyroscope torquers originating in the navigation computer. Le gyroscope «1 axe» à suspension hydrostatique [...] Exemple d’application : le chercheur de nord Teldix NSK 40. Il s’agit essentiellement d’un gyroscope GWK 281 équipé d’un rappel élastique le transformant en gyromètre, dont le boîtier est suspendu au cardan de manière à pouvoir : obtenir l’alignement de son axe de sortie avec la verticale locale, par effet pendulaire; subir une rotation quelconque autour d’un axe d’azimut, sensiblement vertical, lié au boîtier de l’ensemble.
